Breakout Session: Beyond Job Creation - Embedding Impact in Tech and Entrepreneurship
Social innovation is often framed narrowly - as a niche add-on to "real" entrepreneurship. This session explores what it can actually bring to tech innovation and traditional entrepreneurship: a way to strengthen social and environmental impact by reshaping what innovators and entrepreneurs create, for whom, and why.
We'll explore how embedding this thinking early can help teams build more compelling project proposals, unlock new sources of funding - foundations in particular - and help social innovation find its place in teaching and curricula.
A conversation for anyone rethinking what "impact" should mean in innovation practice.
Hosted by Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH), EHL Hospitality Business School, and University of Lausanne (UNIL).
